Cyrus Takes 'Babysitting' Job 'Hannah Montana' star will have 'Adventures' with Raven
April 2, 2007 Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus will earn a little extra pocket money babysitting, or at least co-starring with Raven Symone in a remake of "Adventures in Babysitting."
According to Variety, "Nancy Drew" scribe Tiffany Paulsen has come on board to write "Further Adventures in Babysitting," which isn't a sequel so much as a reimagining of the 1987 film that marked Chris Columbus' feature directing debut.
The original film starred Elisabeth Shue as a high school senior babysitting a motley crew of kids. Things go from boring to adventurous (the film's title doesn't lie) when she has to travel downtown with her young charges to answer a friend's call for help. The trade paper offers no indication of which corresponding roles will be played by Cyrus or Raven.
David Simkins wrote the original, a screenplay whose most famous line includes an "f"-word that fans of Cyrus' "Hannah Montana" and Raven's "That's So Raven" probably aren't frequently exposed to in their normal entertainment.
The "Babysitting" update is set up for Disney with Lynda Obst producing.
In addition to the terrifyingly successful "Hannah Montana," Cyrus has recently been seen in the crowd of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" rooting for her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
